COVID-19 Protocols

Masking in Public Spaces: In an abundance of caution and concern for our hotel staff and members, all attendees will be expected to wear a mask at all events in public spaces in the hotel, unless actively eating or drinking. Seating protocols will be followed for gatherings at tables and in meeting rooms. Seminars will decide on mask protocols for themselves.

Local Protocols: We will adhere to any additional protocols required by the city of Seattle, the state of Washington, and the US government.

Seminars

Seminars are at the heart of our Annual Meeting. These working groups foster the scholarly exchange of our members on a wide variety of liturgical topics. Seminar members actively support and learn from one another in and sometimes across our chosen specialties within the wider fields of liturgical studies and allied disciplines.

Emerging Scholars

Emerging Scholars is a group for liturgy scholars in the early stages of their career, particularly tailored to the needs of those in graduate school up through the first few years of their first permanent position. Anyone is welcome to attend the Emerging Scholars meetings. They provide a space for peer-to-peer networking, advice on writing and job searches, a spotlight on the work of visitors and new members, and an introduction to the work of the Academy, as well as giving emerging scholars a chance to reflect on the future of the Academy. Contact Kim Belcher for more information.
