Using our Academy hotel helps us reach the minimum room block that permits us to obtain reduced prices for our meetings. Failing to meet that block can lead to a substantial cost penalty to the Academy. Please consider impacts on the Academy when considering other housing.
COVID Protocols require that all attendees must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending the meeting. Vaccination certificates with corresponding ID must be shown as proof of vaccination for entry into the meeting.
Masks covering nose and mouth must be worn for all indoor gatherings and removed as needed while eating.
Seating protocols will be followed for gatherings at tables or in meeting rooms.
We will adhere to any additional protocols required by Kansas City or the state of Missouri.
A limited number of scholarships to offset the cost of registration are available to both members and visitors.
Apply by November 1
Scholarship recipients will be notified in time to complete early registration.
Seminars are at the heart of our Annual Meeting. These working groups foster the scholarly exchange of our members on a wide variety of liturgical topics. Seminar members actively support and learn from one another in and sometimes across our chosen specialties within the wider fields of liturgical studies and allied disciplines.
Emerging Scholars is a group for liturgy scholars in the early stages of their career, particularly tailored to the needs of those in graduate school up through the first few years of their first permanent position. Anyone is welcome to attend the Emerging Scholars meetings. They provide a space for peer-to-peer networking, advice on writing and job searches, a spotlight on the work of visitors and new members, and an introduction to the work of the Academy, as well as giving emerging scholars a chance to reflect on the future of the Academy. Contact Ed Foley and Kim Belcher for more information.
A number of denominations and associations gather in conjunction with our Annual Meeting. Beginning in 2022, these meetings will be held following the annual meeting. Interested participants should contact the meeting organizers directly for more information.
