Seminar Report 2004

Interested persons gathered to discuss possible directions for the new seminar.  We wish to discuss theoretical questions posed by post-modern thinkers (especially the continental philosophers) around questions of prayer, silence, repetition and memory, however, these questions need to be kept in close connection to the enactment of the liturgy. How do the issues raised affect the performative side of the liturgical celebration? We hope to begin the work of the seminar at the next annual meeting. The Exploring Contemporary Worship Seminar  also expressed an interest in the work of our seminar and we may envisage working on a joint presentation.
