Nominee for Delegate for Seminars: Bill Kervin

Bill KervinWilliam S. Kervin is Associate Professor of Public Worship at Emmanuel College, Toronto.

An ordained minister of The United Church of Canada, he received his education at Mount Allison University, the Atlantic School of Theology and Emmanuel College. He has served pastorates in overseas, rural and urban settings and been active in the production of his denomination’s liturgical resources, Voices United, Celebrate God’s Presence and More Voices (forthcoming).

His publications include The Language of Baptism (2003), A Year of Grace (2003), the regular column “Worship Words” in Gathering, and numerous papers and articles.

His scholarly interests include liturgical theology, Christian initiation, United Church worship, architecture, art and music. His avocation finds him on bodhrán and vocals with the Toronto Irish band, Spraoí. Previously a member of the Triune Name seminar, he is now with the Liturgical Theology seminar.  He was elected to the Academy in 2001.
